May Seem Alien: Planetary Solidarity. Copyright 2024 Beans and Sproutdone. Establishing shot in space. A rounded, triangular spaceship with two side engines and one middle main engine speeds through space with a flame coming out the backside. In the distance are stars, a ringed planet, and dust from a galaxy. Alien 1: "Hey, Gl'zt'p..." (Alien 2's name is pronounced similar to Gliztup.) Alien 1: "what if the Gaians just get scared and attack us?" The aliens aboard the spaceship have striped skin and spotted hair. Each has four antennae and big, cartoony lower lashes. Alien 1's antennae are star-shapped. Alien 1 looks sad while Alien 2 seems to be confidently focusing on something else. Alien 2: "Shh', their governments might fight us, but" (Shh' is Alien 1's name.) Behind Alien 2 is a screen featuring humans watching fireworks. Alien 2 has a finger up and smiles reassuringly. Alien 2: "their people seem to be celebrating with some fun glowy things." Alien 1 stares in awe at the screen with clenched fists. Because of their large hand proportions, their thumbs stick out more than a human's would. Their big, sparkling eyes reflect the image of the fireworks from the screen. Below the comic is a colored rendition of Alien 1 as a sticker. First email list freebie.

Hey, everyone! Welcome to my first email newsletter. This is the first? Yeah, I was dealing with decision paralysis in regards to formatting my comic. For the time being, I have decided to make it resemble my old comics from high school which were drawn on real paper. Except this is digital! I drew this in Samsung Notes and used the graph background to make the panels straight. And yes, the aliens’ names don’t have regular English vowels. You can interpret the apostrophes as a glottal stop or just kind of muttered “uh” sounds. I didn’t want to overwhelm anyone right off the bat, but I am considering dropping in longer comics. If you have an opinion, feel free to leave a message via my website or social media.

Current WIPs

I decided to put some of my sketches together into a collage instead of bombarding you with a string of large pictures. A bunch of these designs will be out soon, as I’ve been holding onto a few of them since 2023. That’s what happens when you get inspired to draw designs after the holidays instead of before. lol I hope to have my spooky designs out in time for the Manic Pixie Dream Market next month.

We’re most likely to see Gourdy Gardener the pumpkin kin and the stitch doll first.

Characters Around the Corner. Fall 2024 Sproutdone. Designs include: Gabrella the Rain Witch shading an unnamed sea witch with a magic umbrella as they both eat sandwiches. Cheerydot, who has 3 black cherries growing out of their head. A boy witch with star and circle-patterned clothes and a shoulder cat. Gourdy Gardener, a jack-o-lantern witch with their glowing eyes and mouth. Asatt, a morning glory-haired person sitting atop a fence. A patchwork doll with button eyes, bell accessories, and pins sticking out of its head. Gourdy's ghoulfriend, an undead ghoul with a bit of brain poking out on one side who indulges in poisons.

🎃Events🕸

My volunteers and I have done a bunch of events in Northern Ohio this summer, and we’ve taken a liking to the local queer flea market. We plan to keep coming back to this event so long as there is room for our booth! In addition, we’re trying out the Oddmall this October.
